He said at one point “you cant let stuff go from the past” yet he also cant let it go. Wild show.

Underrated part of this episode was Acronym guy wearing one headphone inside out for half the show

Really hope this guy ends up reconnecting with his mom. Not a typical show but loved every minute of it, thanks for sharing your story and confronting an uncomfortable topic. Listening to other people helps us cope with our own situations. We all have family problems; I mean look at Kirk; this was basically what he wants to say to Ryan. Thank you for the show today Podcast Jesus.

Gotta get the dad on

I agree that Cheek’s mom could have responded more positively but we should keep in mind that the call to his mom was very unexpected. Some people need to prepare emotionally for an interaction like this.
Very interesting episode.

Cheeks only guy I kno who holds onto feelings that hurt him from his mother like 20 years prior

This episode makes me wonder — if Boston hadn’t been strung out and falling asleep, what could Kirk have got out of him?

Team cheeks

Cheeks is right and wrong. We all are in some regard. Just have to figure it out as we go.

I have no respect for cheeks, he seems like a complete trash bag. He thinks his life is significantly better now by cutting out his mother but those kind of suppressed issues always come back to haunt you later in life. Hopefully he can right his wrongs before she’s gone forever.
