I really cannot express how much I enjoy this!

You have stumbled upon one of the most innovative artists of our time. She had written over 200 songs by the age of 16. Her music is truly a genre of its own and with each release she went deeper into 'Her' sound. Her fourth album, 'The Dreaming' was by far her wildest and most experimental work, it was followed by what is widely regarded as her greatest, 'Hounds of Love'. EMI was pressuring her to write more 'hits' after the controversial response to The Dreaming, so she wrote side one for the charting singles and then side two, her magnum opus; The Ninth Wave, a seven part epic suite that is devastatingly powerful. And this in 1985, when exotic epics were absolutely forbidden. No-one even dared speak the words 'concept' or 'art-rock' or   'progressive' during the shrink wrapped, plastic, toilet paper commercial era of 80s MTV, when all was nice and short and shiney..
-But then along came Kate...

Kate is singing as the ghost of Catherine Earnshaw here, as per the novel, hence the ethereal voice

People either get Kate Bush or they don't. Looks like you're one of us. :D

Can't believe this track is approaching 45 years old! Still sounds amazing and way ahead of it's time.

Kate Bush is a certified genius. Not only an extraordinary singer with a huge vocal range, but a fiercely intelligent songwriter. There’s a huge variety to her work, and I look forward to you exploring her catalogue further.

Your reactions are so unique too. Very honest and raw. "Babooshka" ...also Kate at her expressive best.

Kate Bush is a religion for many of us.

You have stepped into the upper artistic echelon. Kate Bush is a mesmerizing genius. She walks her own path. All of her music/video/lyrics are layered with sophistication. Her artistry is visual dance mime as well as musical. Make certain you watch every video you can of hers and you will see what I mean.

The Man With The Child In His Eyes has some of the best lyrics ever written. But please check out Don't Give Up which she sang with Peter Gabriel - it's amazing!

I’ve been waiting for this reaction. There’s NO ONE like Kate Bush. ❤

Your reaction made me happy‼️😁

That was cute when she first started to sing, you were checking that the speed was correct...lol
I remember when she premiered on SNL, she blew everyone away!

You have to react to Kate Bush duet with Peter Gabriel "DON'T GIVE UP" (original video). It's saved many people's lives. Enjoy!!! ❤

If you're prepared to go down the Kate Bush rabbit hole you're in for one hell of a ride!

She's a true performance artist.  I love Cloudbusting (you need the video) and Army Dreamers.

Welcome to the icon that is Kate Bush.  I'm not a massive music fan but there is something mesmerizing about her music that draws you in, and she often sings from the pov of the songs protaganist, Kathy's ghost in this instance.  Kate Bush writes music her own way and never panders to the mainstream which makes her back catalogue as eclectic as any other artist out there.  Hope you love going down the Kate Bush rabbit hole.

Your gonna love kate.....she's to me anyway....the greatest singer songwriter to have ever graced this planet....more please

Cathy was the main female protaganist in Wuthering Heights which is probably one of the most revered and haunting novels in the English language, written by Emily Bronte who was born July 30th 1818. Kate Bush, who was called Cathy as a child, was born 140 years to the day, July 30th 1958. She felt a connection.

She's so cold because .. she's dead.

I recommend you listen to the whole album. I think it's incredible. For such a young girl to write this at that time.

After that I'm sure you'll listen to everything else.  She really is a very special artist.
