Floating is a good way to describe Raye. She is so soothing in the way she sings live. She literally flows with music, like she's a part of it.

The album was released before she wrote this song folks "Genesis"  2025 will be rayes year, the new album is almost complete ! No big pr machine coming  behind her, shes fully independent so i hope she gets the support she rightly deserves 👊

Also Raye was held under a record label that dangled her album in her face for 7 years and basically made out she is a song writer only and not good enough. She did the odd collab with really big dance/DJ artists which she didn't get much recognition for which they were huge songs in the UK. When she finally took it to socials on a video begging to be released and she was so the album she worked on for 7 years as it says at the end. Genesis wasn't written until 2024 or released but you should watch her sing at the BRIT awards 2024. She smashed female records, nominated for 7 Brits and won 6. There is footage on YT of her accepting them literally within a year of her album being released. When she won Album of the year she took her grandma on stage on broke down sobbing it made me tear I just love that girl so much. I've not fanned girl this hard since being a young teen and I'm 28. I don't know it's because we are both similar ages or if she just gets the world as it really is but I relate to her so much it's unreal. I saw her live Feb 2024 with my bestie and it was one of the best shows and nights ever!!  I'm not sure how much you know but I just love fan girling haha! Bet her old label is gutted now. 😂❤

1:05:19 now in hindsight, I think we heard more of CR bc she's American & tho Independent briefly, she's mostly have label support post 2023 vs Raye being Brit & only Independent since 2021 .... just my guesstimate in hindsight bc I'm old & not in the know & only knew Raye a little sooner is bc I was looking for Independent artists &/or ppl Reacting to them in genres I tend to prefer .. then 1 let to another to another 😲😵‍💫 really is surprising how many good & great vocalists or artists out here in varios genres & many cross-genres & not signed or getting the recognition they deserve -- & often more talent than ppl that do get pushed on mainstream music audiences (at least in U.S.) .. Raye has thanked various fansites that helped spread her name/music/performances esp in early Independent yrs when she didn't have enough time & $$ or a big machine to do it all 🫠 just another of a gazillion reasons I adore this young lady💖👸🏽
