Excellent video and truly a unique style to most progress kuksa carving. The peg idea was great and so was the crank in the bowl.

Now we need a video on oiling and stress / soak testing

I have had the same carving hatchet since 2001, and it has done a lot of work. The only sharpening has been to hone with green compound. Superb steel.

Question:
Do you absolutely have to have both "right & left" handed bent knives for the inner bowl carving???

I like how those forked branches/boughs at the first frame are interlocked , maybe it could be a way of improvising a saw horse or other stand?
