I am on the camp of if the crash part cost totals 50% of the kit, re-kit it. Otherwise, just pony up and buy the parts and repair. This is another one of those things that nobody really talks about in this niche hobby. But, it's a fact of life, you have to decide which camp you are on. And if you are crashing these larger models to the point where you have done a re-kit two times, you really shouldn't be flying this class of models. You should stick to 100-200 class until you become a more refined pilot and you can validate to your wallet (wife, etc..) that you can in fact reliably pilot a larger class model. But, as usual great video!

Haha. I can tell you’re an absolute aesthetic-freak like myself. Even if something is just slightly scratched and isn’t affecting the heli, you feel the need to replace it.

For peace of mind I’d recommend changing the servo arms if possible. On rotor revolution podcast one of the guys said they crashed, servo arms were stripped but you couldn’t tell on the bench.

Sweet! Kinda bothered me as well about the tail fin color dullness. I also wish they would have used the same letter color for the boom and skids. Skids have black letters while the boom has white letters. This is how you know you're a real deal RC Nerd when you notice this stuff and proud of it. Is there a chance that  you can provide a link to that orange wrap? I see a few choices on amazon with varying shades of orange ,  but it looks like you've got the color spot on!

But yes, I keep a dedicated drawer for each bird in my fleet with parts for the most common crash items.
And after learning my lesson with SWITCH....I now also keep several sets of each blade size too.  
I cant believe we have been waiting since September for SWITCH in 383 -> 553 sizes.

It's amazing how you can analyze the vibrations on the helicopter compared to how we just had dial indicators to see run out on older helicopters.

Great video, I like to do upgrades during a rebuild as well. ( In reality; it is the only time they ever get done!) A lot of your time was off camera, did the OMP rebuild easy, like SAB models, or was it it bit more tedious?
