Do you think YOU would survive in Ancient Egypt?

@SeraphRyan 2 years ago

You mentioned being closer in time:

Reminds me of the saying that "We are closer to when Cleopatra was alive than Cleopatra was to the Pyramids."

Due to medicines I need, the abolute earliest I could have been born at would be ten years before I was actually born. Any earlier than that and I'm doomed.

One of my favorite bits of trivia is "We live closer to the time of Cleopatra, Than she did to when the great pyramids were built." It's insane, that a person at the time of Julius Caesar Is closer to living with Airplanes, the internet, and the space station, Than they were to when the pyramids were built. And we view the time around Caesar as "ancient history".

The obvious downside of being a god king is that when everything goes to hell, it's your fault.

Possibly the greatest holiday of my life so far was when I went to Egypt, incredible country, both ancient and modern.

If I recall correctly the first Treaty between "Nations" was that between Egypt and the Hittites, signed by Ramses the 2nd.

An Egyptian fan here. I've been subscribed to your channel from the beginning and I like your content so much. I'm happy to know you have this great interest in Egyptian history...
New Kingdom is my favorite period by the way

Final thoughts aren’t really final thought. It’s just the video was fun and mentioned key points in history. I’d like to hear you elaborate more. The fun of watching someone reacting to a history video who's an expert in the field is to learn even more from them. At least I find that fun

It will be another 500 years until Cleopatra lived half way between out time and the time the pyramids were built.
