"Special Feature 4: Questioning the Significance of Passing on War Memories and Records"

The final night of our 80th Anniversary Special Feature. We consider the significance of passing on war memories and records. Hayashiya Kikuo, who has rarely spoken about his wartime experiences until now, testifies to the bizarre scenes he witnessed during the Great Tokyo Air Raid and the Emperor's surrender broadcast. Additionally, a new generation of storytellers pursues a promise made to atomic bomb survivors amid concerns that wartime experiences will fade as storytellers age. Furthermore, a researcher is using cutting-edge technology to revive old records and evoke the memories of war survivors.
