I don't see why everyone's making a berry big deal out of this.

Why can't a guitarist just be like "yeah this shit is impossible of course I comped it together."

when you make your technical skill a pillar in your music, you can't blame people for examining that technical skill to a higher degree.

modern guitar virtuocity is basically dubstep now.

As a guitarist to me it's always been obvious he uses heavy effects and polishing, but it's just as obvious to me he can play very, very well.

@3:50 this is exactly what I expected Berried Alive to be doing hearing it as a guitar player/producer myself. I didn't discount them based on this, I like him, I'll hear what else is going on though.

I came for the curiosity about berried alive as a fan, I stayed for the master class on technical guitar tracking tricks lol. That's so cool.

7:00 actually super funny because Literally Jeff Loomis and Keith Merrow did a clinic together while I was at Musicians institute, Merrow spent almost the entire Q&A section genuinely warning us not to fall into “10 hours a day” mindset because he had terrible tendonitis at the time and directly attributed his lack of stretching/over practicing

I like what you’re doing. Keep em coming

It's crazy to me that someone who is obviously extremely talented at the guitar can't own up to editing the recordings to make them perfect. If he just said it's so complicated that I can't play it as clean as I want when I record it, no one would care at all.

To sound like a machine, you must be the machine.

That show you posted looks like The House of Bricks in Des Moines, Iowa. I was probably there! I think everyone knows Charles' videos are edited, BUT, I've seen plenty of live videos he's posted on instagram, etc. that are definitely real.

"Practicing" 12 hours a day means 4 hours of playing and 8 hours of software engineering and "string noise".

I’ve been a subscriber and supporter for a few months now and solely because I’m a guitarist, fan, musician and all around metal enthusiast. Only thing that gets me about this channel is I’m not sure if it’s a play at or out of bitter origins or if it’s just so guitar “purest” driven that it could come off as such. I think it more prevalent to mediocre part time musicians like myself. Still like watching, this is not a troll comment, I’m more than happy to watch all these amazing guitar players like yourself anywyz keep on keeping on THNKs
