This one ... was again outstanding. I am in love with @Dolly Parton . Her music is so real and is so true. It can touch all of us rich, poor, complex or simple. Her music brings something to all of us.

There was no fighting. The bank teller was flurting with her husband. The Name Jolene came from a fan, a pretty little girl wanting an autograph. Dolly loved her name. So Dolly put the two events together. Dolly & her husband are still married.

The face card on Dolly. Exquisite 😘

Dolly is always self deprecating, her famous response to her looks, “it takes a lot of money to look this cheap”. Just love her, so I appreciate you genuinely finding joy in her also.

Dolly is so beautiful

I love it, "She does not let the words just sit on the paper" ❣❣❣EPIC "IT'S her heart, it's her life, and truth"❤❤ You 2 are sweet❣

You, if you haven't, should react to a group called Chapel Hart. They performed a song on TV literally in front of Dolly and she endorsed it. It's called "You Can Have Him, Jolene".

Dolly also has deep roots in gospel music. You might love a song she wrote called She's an Eagle When She Flies

Wow...its amazing how much music we know from remakes but no...I never heard the original and OMG...I love her stage personality. OMG I love this song now that I know the backstory

I'm so glad I wasn't named Jolene.. I do however have auburn hair, ivory skin, and emerald green eyes. xD

Dolly said it was a true story. Then she must have been speaking of her marriage to Carl Dean, to whom she’s been married to for over 50 years. It’s apparent the marriage survived that ordeal. Dolly has written over 3k songs in her life and I’m sure some are no doubt about her real life experience.

Please play another song by Dolly Parton called, "Me and Little Andy". Thank you so very much. Have a Blessed Evening. Adios.

@MichelleWilke217 5 years ago

Thank you both! Dolly made a beautiful version of this song with Pentatonix you might like. They were going to sing background only. However, she insisted that they sing with her. I also remember watching some of her movies as a little girl.

All her talk show stuff, where she mentions how "it takes a lot of money to look this cheap"..."I dunno how long my hair takes, I'm never there (it's a wig)"..."I based my look on the most glamorous lady when I was growing up- the town tramp"

It becomes obvious that she isn't dressing for anyone else, she's just wearing what makes her happy etc
