Man, I've read fanfiction BETTER than the original canon. Writing is writing.

That story with the pregnant woman at 40:46 was the actual longest 20 minutes EVER. Just listening to that and how strong she was and I'm so glad the parents of the bff and ex husband were supportive of the wife. Holy shit I wish the best for her

@victoriapastrano3533 3 years ago

I teared up when she mentioned she saw her dad love her mom for 12 years unconditionally and won’t accept anything less.

Not only is fanfiction a good writing practice, it’s also JUST A FUN WAS TO SHOW YOUR LOVE FOR A PIECE OF MEDIA. Why is that so bad!?

Imagine walking the trail with someone you've just met and slowly realising you're being lied to as you're lead off the path. Then they turn around and tell you how they have "biological responses" to you. That's a horror story right there

@LeoSunrise 3 years ago

The biggest red flag for the hiking story is that the moment he was confronted about his plan, he immediately deflected any blame towards himself being saying "oh my body's just reacting to your desirable features, my biological responses"

Also the fact that he thought "the hike is around 3 hours, but no that isn't enough time to chat with this woman we need AT LEAST SIX HOURS"

@CairaRose 3 years ago

I’m a hiker. That man endangered her life and Courtney is 100% right that he kidnapped her. I can only imagine what he actually said to her while describing her body. I hope the group went beyond kicking him out and told other clubs what he did.

58:08 lots of updates to the woman whose husband and best friend cheated, but in case no one has said it, Jake (the x best friend's brother) and OP are engaged and the kids all love him and asked OP if he could be their dad instead.

@JessicaKennedy367 3 years ago

Telling the moms before confronting the husband and best friend WAS the psychological warfare. Possibly the best psychological warfare I've ever seen in one of these.

That poor woman, there's no chance she didn't think she was going to be assaulted, she had been travelling through a forested trail and she was lost with a dude she barely knew then the dude starts describing her in the most inappropriate way, 100% she was scared for her life

adult women in fandoms writing 100k+ masterpieces are the unseen backbone of fandom, especially smaller fandoms. literally cut from the same cloth as the housewives making spirk fanzines in the 1970s. the fandom foremothers.

"i struggle to see the issue with that description"

SON, the fact that you struggle to see the issue IS THE ISSUE

@rafaelfreire3792 3 years ago

That woman is a superhero. The fact that she, while pregnant, was able to be calm enough to read that shit and be capable of holding it and pretend nothing happened for a whole day while preparing to leave him. Damn!

@alexandreahawkins8718 3 years ago

Taking a detour that takes 3 hours longer than the whole hike should be is terrifying. She was probably scared out of her mind being stuck alone with him.

@Greix5h 3 years ago

Trevor: Why couldn't we have filmed this tomorrow so we have the update
Shayne: UPDATE
Trevor and Courtney: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO WAAAAYYYY 🤯🤯

That was so iconic 😂😆 I love how invested they were with the story.

@eravas411 1 year ago

50:15 a second update has hit the towers 😭😭

@MostLikelyInsane 3 years ago

Trevor being spot on with predicting the "longer route" post is gold.

@ShannynBourke 3 years ago

Courtney's gutteral scream after "biological reactions" was the only appropriate response

@drth8989 2 years ago

For the hiking story: THE INITIAL HIKE WAS 3 HOURS! Did you really need a detour?! Like 3 hours is plenty enough time to make a connection. This is terrifying.

43:41 I'm barely through the story but I'm sitting here thinking, with everything going on in her life her dad, the pregnancy why would he encourage her to quit her job? Knowing what he's doing behind her back? And then it dawns on me THIS MAN HATES HER 🤦🏾🤦🏾🤦🏾 now it all makes sense
