Francis Drake was a pirate who robbed and burned his way across the Caribbean and became the terror of the Spanish Main. He circumnavigated the globe, was knighted by the Queen and became an English hero. His cunning allowed England to repel the the Spanish Armada. Enter the world of the 1500s, where piracy was unofficial state policy, and stolen treasure was used to fund the Wars of Religion in Europe. Escaped African slaves, cities held for ransom, and executions at sea are all part of the story.

Takes me back to the old days on the BBC, when an in front of camera delivery on historical or political issues was broadcast in that basic but engaging manner - it's got to be one of the best features of the you tube format and creation.
Thank you!
No AI slop here, thank goodness.
Onto that, i still recall the general locations of all the cities Eva mentions in the Caribbean 😏

It is especially troubling when we compare it with the insane number of views that the cheaply produced AI content on historical topics, that is full of falsehoods and outright lies, the YouTube feed is drowning in, is allegedly getting.
I do not consider this to be just an accidental event but the deliberate, well orchestrated, highly organised attempt to dumb us down. Call me a "conspiracy theorist" as long as you want, the facts speak for themselves.
