Yeah, my take is that the tank had terrible positioning and if the mercy would have tried ti keep them at 100% the whole time they would have fallen over repeatedly

Mercy just isn't good enough to take over lobbies with players who don't have the positional awareness to play with mercy.  Bap, for example, can adjust to idiotic charging teammates by doing more damage and just using burst heal and invulnerability to tip the fight when their team is knee deep.  A mercy just has to watch their team feed and die.

This isn't a plat Mercy.  That is a plat tank though, so sometimes the plat tank does plat tank things.  It's not Mercy's job to keep that tank up while they're doing dumb sh*t (tank players, please, you may look like an armoured assault vehicle but I promise you, you will fall over if you try and act like one all the time) but because Mercy is so team reliant to climb that might be part of the problem.

This season hits different. You can out heal 2x the other team and still lose. I'm saying this as a GM Ana.

as a mercy main myself, that's a damn good Mercy play. during the escort, i saw some dps just standing still and doing dps and not helping. you can't really do anything about that.

Ppl talking about the tank kinda over extending a few times, but the Mercy did mention one of their dps had 23 deaths and oh boy does that show in the gameplay. That junkrat was CONSTANTLY low hp, taking away the damage boost from most of the teamfights. Seriously, its like he had an aversion to cover. If I was this Mercy I would honestly learn another support more so they can be better prepared if the Mercy just isnt working out. Ive recently played like 30 unranked matches straight as Illari to learn her cuz her healing output is absolutely insane and lets you be in two places at the same time. They could also maybe try to find some higher ranked ppl to play with as Mercy does HEAVILY rely on good teammates.

just a note, wonderful mercy, i agree that it was mostly the tank's fault. but i will say, the zarya genji ult combo and the juno mei combo are both absolutely evil. just sayin'.

If I were that Mercy, that is when I avoid that tank, and hopefully he appears next game to give back the SR he stoled.

I swear 60% of the vod reviews are always either circuit or havana, people dont know how to play them due to the lack of cover.
28:15 Dont hold where that rein is holding , high rank let the enemy push and always hold on that little bridge behind and the corner past it, i assure it will change your games.

it’s so funny when a mercy goes for a rez in a 1 v 5 situation. like idk who you think i am but i’m not about to team wipe them after they just rolled us lol

I think mercy needs A change to make her less dependent on others

10:50 LOVE THAT QUICK MELEE LMAO 10:58

Agreed with emongg on playing what you want if you just wanna play mystery heros or arcade or open que do it! Don't force yourself to play role que and comp if you don't want to, you'll go into it not having fun because its not what you wanted to play

Also to think about it ow has 100 million players 10 perfect of that is open que players and that's not bad!!

Plat is a hell of a rank to get stuck in if you fall back into it. Boosted silvers and golds who are basically soft throwing when they solo queue w/o their friends/pocket, fallen Diamonds and Masters who think they are above the rank and instantly main character syndrome the lobby and get super toxic blaming teammates after one lost fight, smurfs, etc. One game your teammates seem like top 500s and the next you wonder how they got out of bronze, a lot of stomp or be stomped unbalanced matches that are lost at spawn or when you get the silver tank and they get the plat tank.

Not one person helping get the winston off mercy feels bad.. id be so heated after surviving for longer than you had any right to

I want this mercy on my team lol

mercy is terrible for climbing in low elo since she relies so heavily on good dps. that's why so many mercy otp's are said to be boosted because most that do climb have a good duo but wouldn't have climbed without said duo. to climb in low elo as a solo queue support you really do have to help get elims WHILE keeping up with heals, and even then if your teammates are clearly being diffed by the enemy there's not much you can do.

I agree that the tank was off position for quite a bit of this game, but towards the end (30:01 - 30:27), I think that the suzu should've been used more aggressively there bc to the tank's credit, they were consistently indicating that they were VERY close to a shatter, which would've swung that team fight regardless of what the enemy team had. Still, I think this player is certainly on their way out of plat with how they've played!

funny to watch the peanut gallery in chat try to act like they're all top-500 mercy players when they're just regurgitating stuff that they've seen elsewhere ("more damage boost!")

I never thought I'd learn a mercy tip from emongg lmfao but i never thought about the waiting to heal until after my ult ends after a team fight is won while im still valking. will try to think about that next time cause SMART AF
