My hot take is that Weverse needs moderation or better moderation because every time I see an idols post there are multiple hate comments that are like really bad like once I saw someone say “Does Ni-Ki deserve to be an idol” and there were people sending death threats to idols on there post on Weverse and in Weverse livestreams people always spam and send rude comments like Weverse needs to do something about this…

i completely agree. jay is just as talented as heeseung, but jay will never be heeseung, in the same way heeseung will never be jay. they each have their own strengths and unique attributes to their performance that cannot be “replaced.”

what the fandom is getting wrong is thinking he needs to be replaced. nobody needs to “replace” or replicate what heeseung can do or did do, they just need to be themselves, and that’s good enough. i’m always gonna miss heeseung. he wasn’t my bias, but he was my favourite vocalist in the group, but i don’t think it’s fair to expect jay or anyone else to fill the role he left behind.

HOT TAKE: the sexuality speculation would ended if koreans (and some other fans) behaved normal towards dating. If the kpop artists could have partners and experience romance there would be nothing to speculate about.

My hot take is K-pop concert tickets are too expensive

Jay is gorgeous....and extremely talented.

Jay was always recognized for his looks since the very beginning of their debut. He was literally THE biggest stan attractor and was all over social media for his appearance. Like he’s the only reason I got to know Enhypen in the first place. And about that thing with Jay replacing Heeseung. Well. Jay is an ace, that’s not even debatable for the ones who are deep into Enhypen as a group. And objectively speaking, he’s the best rapper, 3d best dancer and the best vocalist in the group. They’re all incredibly talented but Jay is the most capable overall.

Hyo your water jug is killing me😂😭😭

I’m about to fight that person that said Jay  is not as good looking at the others😭😭😭

Hot take but Engenes only use Jake as a shipping tool and almost no one cares about the stuff he does nor stream his stuff well
they are useless
Such a divided fandom for a group who is seemingly so connected

I agree so much on the last one..BTW, I'm a Stay & my bias is Leeknow so not hating on the fandom too❤
Just now Stray kids released After you MV on Spotify premium & whenever they see leeknow just acting with a girl, the comments are like "the only time he's pretending to be straight" or " He was definitely thinking about someone else". Like u don't even know that about him to always assume that in literally everything he does...
& what if he's actually Not straight, then it's kinda disrespectful coz it's said in like a mocking way many times. Even if he's straight, why do u even want him to be a certain gender, its so weird. He'll literally be around any girl & they're like see the difference he acts around girls vs boys..it's his business ( he could be doing that to avoid dating rumours/ he might actually be gay) just leave the assumptions

I think some people understand "hot take" as "thing I'm angry about" LOL...

My hot take: Kpop isn't for kids that don't understand that it is an entertainment BUSINESS. When HS left Enhypen, I realized most protests were likely from fans with little to no life experience. And when you contemplate it, who's to blame for it? Therefore, I kind of think that kids should be taught how to think about it before they get into it. But honestly, aren't the companies taking advantage of children?

I think that hot take about Jay being able to replace Heeseung, at least the first half, comes from a place of potential rather than existing ability. I actually think all the other members have this potential. I think Heeseung was always marketed as the main vocal (ever since iland), which he was, but this resulted in all the harder vocal parts going to him. And the other members were never going to grow if they didn’t have to sing those parts. Why would they waste time developing their voices to that extent when they would never be singing those parts? To me, Bad For You was such a good view of what all the members could sound like if they all developed their vocals more fully because they didn’t have Heeseung to rely on. And as for the second part, I think it’s not Jay looking less handsome than Heeseung, but Heeseung being more hyped for his vocals. The company saw what the fans wanted and gave us more Heeseung vocals accordingly. I actually really enjoyed Sin: Bliss for its developed vocals from all the members and I’m glad at least one good thing came from Heeseung’s departure. (I could’ve written some things better, but I think this might be one of the longest comments I’ve ever written 😭)

15:20 it’s like a silly, humiliating cute thing. I love aegyo but it’s NOT meant to be serious . Its like to be cringe is to be free😂

Imagine you do something cringe in front of someone it’s probably to be silly and not something to be taken seriously and when you both can laugh about it, it creates a bond.

I agree with the woman talking about fans telling celebrities "You saved my life." It's one thing to tell them that you're a big fan or are greatly inspired by them, but if you truly feel that a celebrity saved your life, that shows a VERY unhealthy connection. I feel that a lot these people put their happiness and self-worth solely on that person or group, and that is very dangerous. While you may feel close to the celebrity because of the parasocial relationship, they don't know you personally at all. A better way to reframe that thinking would be to see it as that celebrity's message greatly helped you, but that celebrity did not personally save you.

Not sure if this is true since I only saw it on a post, but I recall this debate coming up and someone mentioned the artist Yungblud. A young fan came up to him and told him that he saved his life, and Youngblood responded "No I didn't. You saved your life. I was just the soundtrack to it." If that did happen, it's one of best responses I've ever heard.

HOT TAKE: The entirety of kpop needs to retire the military uniforms and school uniforms.

Jay is least biased because he's not flirty. Ando also he has more boy fans . And boy fans don't do on line and talking about how good-looking their bias is.

I’ve always thought that Jay id the most handsome one 😭

My hot take is that I don’t think idols should get canceled for things they did in the past and I mean like PAST PAST. Like Wdym someone could  be the nicest person and then they get cancelled for something they did when they were like 13???? Like respectfully unless they like killed someone idc if they called someone a loser in grade two😭😭

There's a difference between a hot take and dangerous ignorance.

I'm not advocating being mean to anyone but for sure I support correcting a mindset that is legitimately unhealthy and/or dangerous.

Not doing so would be like letting someone who thinks they can put out a grease fire with water continue to go about life believing that.... (because one day they might encounter a small grease fire and go grab a glass of water...and make everything exponentially worse!)
