It blows my mind that it took that much makeup and prosthetics to make Tom Cruise actually look his age.

So it looks great. Acting is great. Music is great. Cinematography looks great and it makes you think and want to watch again. Sounds like a great flick to me.

Given Birdman, it's baffling why this movie has been advertised the way it has.

No Iñárritu film is a mass audience film. Average film goers see Tom Cruise in prosthetics and think they're getting a Less Grossman flick, but hardcore cinephiles familiar with Iñárritu's filmography know it ain't gonna anywhere near a Ben Stiller joint.

I always like to be blind-sided by a movie. And Digger totally caught me off guard. I saw it today, and will see it again. Right now, my rating is 4 out of 5.

The revenant is a masterpiece

I loved this movie. Surprising. Intense. Brilliant. Strangelove meets Baron Munchausen by way of Tom Stoppard. Felt like a night at the actual theatre

My disappointment was BEYOND inmeasurable, and my night last night was completely ruined.

I have no interest in this movie and will never watch it but I love your show so that's why I'm here because I love ya and all that you do.

I absolutely love this movie, but I understand perfectly why people don't

Inarritu going over an already absurd 125 million budget (it ended with a reported budget between 160 and 180) on this self indulgent mess is yet another reason filmmakers like Nolan and Villeneuve are so much more successful.

Dude, Nolan managed to pull of Oppenheimer for a 100 million dollars. Dennis managed Dune Part 1 for the same amount as this nonsense cost.

I loved it.

I'd be interested to know how you would rate Lost Highway.

I haven't seen it but I liked your review. You conveyed the nature of the film as sort of confused or incongruent, which matches my gut feeling about it. I won't be going to see it, I have a sense that it's going to ask me to work hard, without much pay off.
