I like they bayonet attachment versus the flip. Sometimes the flip does not stay where you want it.

Great video Todd! I can't believe you got that close to the triggerfish and especially the squid! I have been using the Macromate mini since 2018. Great tip at the end of you video. When I am finished with the macro I pull it out of the way. I can't count how many times I left it on and then shot a wide angle scene!

I had no idea there was a macro lens for GoPro! This is so exciting. To also answer my question of the distance with the GoPro, I really want your ruler/QR code!!

@equinoxproductions7530 1 month ago

can u also share your gopro 13 setting for using macro lens

@xhmoh530 5 months ago

Yes..The distance is crucial , it take a while for me to figure out the distance between object and my go pro camera by using my first 2 finger as measuring😂

7:13 WOW !!! IMO better to color correct in davinci than red filter, for me much better and cleaner results

I have the Marco +15 and +10 put on top of each other and most of the things you mentioned

1. Practice is king if you don't use it on a regular basis and get used to it ,you will have a lot and I mean a lot! If blurry shots because you missing the right distance.

2. The gap between lenses and the lens holder happens more often then you think

3. The lights are everything, I now have a third light on top since the two main lights are too bright

4. If you use +15 and +10 in combination you have to release the Air bubbles between both lenses at the beginning of your dive ( thank me later for that one 😂)

I try to see what to add on if i would like to shot critter like Shaun of sheep 2mm😂😂

@equinoxproductions7530 1 month ago

u didnt talk about the digital zoom settings... do you leave it as 1x or digitally change it to 1.4x zoom for macro

@xhmoh530 5 months ago

Can I check whether you have tried to attach the black scatter 10mm close up lenses on top of 15 mm macromini lenses?
