I love this!! I tend to just put things in wherever it can fit but then i end up forgetting where i put everything. I think of it like a forgetful ferret that stores things in a neat little spot but cant find those secret little spots.
This new technique will really help me with decisions on getting organized ❤

I just moved my piano into my bedroom - for two reasons. The first reason is that my living room is very small, and I wanted more 'sitting' space in there. But more importantly, I can now close my bedroom door at night and play piano without bothering anyone else. Love it!

Ok, I watched it and will say that since I'm 80 years old, I have already developed those tips and can't stop wanting to improve everything in my life. Geez, sometimes I do over think. Anyway, I loved hearing this from someone else. I think when I find myself with something and wondering where to put it, I will remember where would I would look for it if I need it....if it's something I've never had before and needs a home.

I decided my bed didn't belong in the bedroom. I now have a bedroom in my living room and a dressing room where my bedroom was. And I LOVE it.

I have items where we use them. Eg; scissors in the kitchen, the office, my bedroom, the bathroom and my potting/pet area. Most things I am one and done but multiples of some items in the places we use them has been ideal. Re shoes in the entry - just no - shoes put away in bedrooms. And I trained and nagged and persisted until it was habit for everyone in the house. I cannot understand how being greeted by shoes each day is desirable or acceptable.
