First step when learning Akuma is training suboptimal but stylish air tatsu combos

I focus on 100% stun combos first, then learn hit confirms, and then blocking

Getting into 3rd strike as a tekken player has been tough. This is a great place to start, the advice and demonstration is greatly appreciated.

Love it!

1)Stop
2) guess
3) parrying

>hit confirm
>whiff punish
Dude, I play Raven. I push 5H and my thought process ends there.

I think i’ll work on charge partitioning and unblockables first actually, then i’ll practice parrying chun SA2

Play solid? But makoto's dash is plus on block

bro this is like everything i needed to hear thank you

Love the 3rd strike content

lets go

Bought the SF 30th anniversary collection ages ago. Came back to it recently and truly started loving 3rd Strike. Hard to even explain why. Thanks for this !

Thx a lot🎉

Great!

People definitely dont block enough at a low to mid level. They don't understand block jump mind games and just mash out guess parry. Great video dude

Thanks, AutoMattock! Finally jumping into 3s and its super cool that so many are more than willing to help newcomers❤.

I went normals first, then defense/offense, then combos. One thing I've seen is the game has a lot of reads that needs the tech he said (wake up super/parry special/grab etc) but a newbie needs to attack, defend and punish first, then practicing the other stuff once the player has more experience.

make sure to tell the kids at home that these hitconfirms are LINKS and not CANCELS! or else you'll have people (ᵐᵉ) burning months wondering why I couldnt reliably hitconfirm off raw cr.mk's in neutral or how difficult it is to churn out a super from akuma's close.mk (cuz I didn't realise I was supposed to super AFTER the move completes instead of cancelling it)
in terms of raw hitconfirms, remember - if it's 11frames or less, ignoring it's your best.
if you really want to extend it after a random cr.mk in neutral, just throw a safe EXHadou

make more video tips pls

Any tips of someone being better on one side versus the other? I can do play on both sides, but I find combos easier when I’m on the right. Super canceling specifically
