Dear Francis, you can move the blast indicator thing instead of using the clipboard for size lol

"Little Bit of Squish", sometimes called 'friendlies'

And after your firing slips are complete, you can select the check mark and leave them on the table to track what you've shot

Few more tips
1. Can place the fire cards on the map what helps when planning fire missions and declutter the clip board
2. Get more value if angle your scout planes as they scout 13.8km so will scout a bit of you side of the map if at 90 degrees and if you get lucky and scout more than 2 groups or targets it will open the map up a lot more after hit them.
3. Dragging the blast gauge over a target helps a lot especially when danger close or if you can offset a shell to both guns on the same bearing to save time. Just close the iris so a tiny dot if need to be uber precise.
4. Counter battery challenge it worth to use a starburst if have a odd fire mission when stop time.
5. Try sweeping one way when doing a fire mission as shortens bearing traversal.
6. Can hit most levers for both guns near the centre walkway so can ram shells in quickly load charges then do other side then quickly back to ram 1st lot in while wait for 2nd lot to fall.
7. Highest elevation should always be 1st gun to fire as will be 1st one to  start moving.
8. moving the arty can be worth it as only 3 points just to line shots up nicer for faster fire missions

Seems like the perfect place for FJ, in his own giant weapon shooting things miles away.

Tutorial on how to hit targets.
Misses.

Chef kiss, Francis.

Pretty sure you can move the blast radius iris thing onto the map so you can see the actual blast radius directly.

I found creating the full details on the firing computer helps me plan 6+ shots pretty easily and then send them all as fast as possible. Good fun to practice when there's a real time limit

This game would be insane in VR and multiplayer. But then I would need a VR set and friends willing to play this gem.

This game needs minions that you can smack around.

i think it's interesting that despite firing HE you still treat them as AP (thus needing high accuracy)
i generally plan my firing shot and then find a "good enough" shot (having tolerance means faster shooting)
usually HE has a tolerance of ~0.7 barring/0.05 elevation

I've started doing the ±0.5 lines for bearings on the map, the maximum errors compound the further you are away from the bearing origin and the number of bearings you're adding together.

If you start from the furthest target you could maximise your prep time before the timer kicks in

The trick to fast turnaround is using too much powder. It’ll calculate a 5 powder round for a 2 powder requirement just fine. The real gain is instead of raising 45 degrees then lowering 45 degrees for 1 round of fire you’re raising 10-15 and lowering the same.

What a lovely day to rain down high yield explosives. Cant wait for full release and we get some of those really fun and exciting totally not warcrime shells

21:06 If the counter-battery timer begins at the *impact* of the first shell, it might actually be worth firing early shells in a salvo with bare minimum powder, and send the last shell screaming in with five powder bags behind it, so as to reduce the total time from first impact to last impact.

I use the white pencil for marking wich card goes for wich target. Sometimes the targets are clustered and hard to put the cards right next to them, so i just put down a white marker pointing from the card to the target.

Playing the Demo, very cool game a lot of calculating which i like.

Aw man, I didn't know that hitting the Fire Control puts a permanent pause on. I thought it was just a different form of time extension.

In return: did you know you can move the shot details off your clipboard and onto your map? It really helps when planning methodical sequences of shots.

you should shoot the higher elevation first, you will win some seconds between the shots as elevation always start at 0 all the times and as to climb anyways all the time, so it will be faster the lower you go
and group by closest shot to the horizontal
