When it comes to eating bony fish, using your hands is a must. Both hands work together to help remove any bones. Familiarizing yourself with the anatomy of the fish makes it easier once you understand where the bones are located; even a milkfish becomes much easier to manage. For smaller fish, it's best to take your time and pinch pieces off little by little to enjoy the flavors without worrying about the bones. Kukurutin mo po ang isda gamit ang iyong kamay paunti-unti at kapag sanay ka na pwedeng isang kamay na lang ang gamitin mo.😅

I ❤❤❤ fish or any seafood!! Grew up in Malabon and my mom had a few fishing boats back in the days so seafood was always our go to. 🤤 😋

My dad loves to eat fish and he says "his trick" is when he puts the piece of fish into his mouth, he chews through it with his front teeth first to pick out any bones. That way you're not getting any bones in your mouth and you have to try and fish (pun intended) it out through all the other food in your mouth.

Anyways, love the vlogs and I think it's awesome you're learning to speak Tagalog! I was born in Manila in 86 and moved to the states in 92. Lost my ability to speak it fluently early on, but I'm still proud I can understand it.

Somebody, please, teach this man how to "himay" the fish, LOL. Growing up, we were taught to use our bare hands and our eyes to search out the bones of the fish before eating it. As a kid, I used to pick out the bones of all of my share of the fish before even starting on my first bite, so that I eat nonstop, hehehe.

6:56 That's pretty normal as glass coke bottles go, because they get supplied by the crate, sometimes the caps get rusty due to humidity. That's why they serve glass bottle drinks with straw or tissue around the rim.

Heirloom Red Rice Varieties are deeply tied to Indigenous communities in the Cordillera region and known for being more nutritious than polished white rice. Other varieties of rice include black, green that are mostly tied to the sweet rice used for kakanin or rice cakes. Glad you're able to experience other kinds of rice aside from white and brown.

Every week and almost every day, we cook and eat fresh fish at home. Minsan piniprito namin ang isda pero madalas ang luto ay Pinangat, Paksiw, Sinigang at Sinabawang isda (fish with broth). Simple lang ang mga luto namin, halos walang mantika at palaging may gulay.
