The fact that every video on this new truck spends a lot of time discussing the name is not an encouraging sign. Few customers care about where the name came from. People want to see an actual shipping product with a good price that they can buy at that price.

They also wanted to be able to tow and not charge every 100 miles. I worked for a dealer and we could not deliver these lightning trucks we had to trailer them

I bought a 1 year old Jetta with 14 k miles and a 5/50 warranty for $18k .
Anybody who buys a $60k full size truck that doesn’t need for work deserves all the problems

Given cold winters in NY it needs to have over 300 miles so I can have usable range after losing 30%

Yes they can by using automation on the floor. You can’t pay a huge number of employees at American wages and do it. Thats what Americans still don’t get why we need high tariffs on Chinese goods. They pay far less and are subsidized by the government

I really have to wonder about the cast chassis. Can a collision that distorts part of said chassis total the vehicle? If so any accident that damages more than just body sheet could possibly trash it. 🤷‍♂️

The price is right, but It's going to have to also have a minimum Real world 600 to 800 mile range with Full AC going and also with Full Heater going for it to even have a remote chance of succeeding. No exceptions.

They lost around $40K on every Lightning sold, and now they plan to build another truck for 1/2 the price? Gee. I wonder how that is going to work out.
