As a person who grew up in the Pinzgau, I can tell you, this is normal.

Driving past Mount Shasta a few years ago, I wondered about the road reflectors that were 8 and 10 foot tall. I then realized it was August and they get a LOT of snow come winter.

This driver has a lot of skill to be able to clear that road with that much snow.   Great job!

In Canada we have wider roads and I have done snow removal but man these roads are narrow more like trails. Gusty drivers. Impressed.

I cannot imagine living on the side of a mountain like that and having to drive on these roads.

With so few guideposts, it's difficult to imagine keeping the edge of the roadway guiding you along.  Great skill and patience!

The first time I went to the Rocky Mountain National Park I saw the snow markers and I was amazed at how tall the were. I have been on roads in Colorado that remind me of these. Of course the mountains aren’t quite as high but close. One time my son who was probably 10 at the time said while we were driving in the mountains “we are above the clouds” and we were! 😄

2:00  would be freakin AWESOME  to walk down that part!
