I asked some native English speakers about a better word to replace "retract," but couldn’t find anything that really fits. "Draw back" and "pull back" just don’t sound good enough. I did some research online, and maybe "snap the forearm" is the best option. I’m going to use that from now on. If you have any suggestions, please leave a comment.Flexion is good，but people do  not use it

02:57 is too funny. Hit the jackpot

these lessons are great and Fang Yinchi is a superb coach because he links technique to principles of generating and controlling force.

This is the answer to my questions that I'm trying to fix in the past months. 🤦‍♂️

I thought why is my ball travel slowly. Why can't I generate power with my loop. I almost trained hard uaing weights since I thought my arm is too weak but when I played with skinny kids, their stroke is still more powerful than mine. And this is the exact reason why  I was not able to generate most power with my loops. I'm not retracting my forearm enough and I almost hitting the ball in front of me and not in my sideways but it is too late for me now since my upcoming tournament was already set for tomorrow.

Wish me luck guys. 🤦‍♂️🤣🤣🤣

This and the BH video are superb. They add a simple step that makes a big difference, often overlooked by other coaches (physical and video ones). The observation that real world game play does not allow enough time for altering foot position allows one to focus solely on the hips and body. It falls into place after that.  One refinement to the understanding I made to make it even easier to approximately right quickly is to think of my forearm being 90 degrees to the length of the table (ie parallel to the back edge) at moment of impact. Just getting the forearm in this position makes the body twist back and then “retract” (follow through) naturally.

I think this might be enough to get my FH making progress and with a lot less complication than my real world coach!

He's the best coach I've found. So clearly explained, and insightful

This is something that I wondered about! Now I will lean into it because a pro is telling me!!

For the title - Snapping is spelled with two p’s

Thank you for the content as always

Coach Fang casually attacking Coach Chen's vitals 😂

You are giving interesting teaching that almost no one else gives 👍

To this day, no one can compare - Wang Hui-Yuan, video "Ван Юй-Юэнь - Ульф Карлссон 1985 год".

Rất tuyệt vời! Cảm ơn bạn rất nhiều, đây là lần đầu tiên tôi tìm được điều mà tôi cần, chưa có tài liệu nào đề cập đến vấn đề này cả.

I have watched plenty of videos on this but this is the best video.

Nice pin pointed ❤

Wow, that's awesome explanation!

Thank you coach fery good

I'm always surprised on how much the Chinese players lower their arm even when they're not responding to backspin. I hadn't been taught in that way... I'd like to hear more about that

Wow great!

great!
