Bought the AP900 .177 carbon bottle recently, out the box it's giving 3 fps max spread (I dropped lucky there!) and shoots pretty amazing with .177 pellets out to over 40 metres - it groups extremely well using pellets resized to either 4.50 or 4.51(Guntuff pellet sizers from J.S.Ramsbottoms). Had it tuned up recently and everything is alot smoother especially cocking lever etc.. the trigger for me is spot on and did'nt need any adjustment, us old timers get used to triggers pretty quick but its no hw100 trigger but pretty good. Even with a lighter hammer/spring and alot of internal polishing etc the hammer striking internally, partially on the cast block of the gun can upset a tight group. You were spot on about the ATA, it's a lovely bit of kit to shoot. The ATA does'nt seem to be on everyones list to own but it should be as its that good. I got a .177 recently and its honestly fanstatic, heavy which is great for the bench, the accuracy with that regulatored action from any distance is amazing, everything just feels so smooth and literally bomb proof (huge machined alloy block/steel air cyclinder). Its the same accuracy from either the mag or thumbing in single pellets into the large breech opening. Shot count is very good, its getting over 230 shots from 200 bar but they are consistant and very accurate. The standard fitted silencer is really good quality and looks to be a built like a slightly shorter weihrauch item (same internals). The ATA trigger is its only drawback, its got some play in it which is akin to a first stage and then i adjusted it so it has a crisp second stage. Feels very different to my hw100 but 2-3 shots you get used to it. The ATA is abit of a hidden gem and probably some people shoulder it and find it heavy but get a good one on the bench and it can keep up with with most of my more expensive rifles. Happy shooting with the collection and the ATA, Regards Andy
Great stuff mate! I was lucky enough to have a go on a hw95 from a similar era to yours, and it was so nice to shoot! The stock on yours is outstanding ππ€ Looking forward to seeing how it works for you!
