streamers are working on ruining it too

Give them a finger, and they'll take the whole arm.

We should let Blizzard cook on some of this though the "nerf dungeon quest xp so they could buff dungeon xp" was stupid. If you want to dungeon grind just go back to retail, now we have bad dungeon quest xp and dungeon xp so what is the point other than gear which will be replaced in a few levels.

Hate to break it to you, but I play retail and have been playing Classic since 2019. We been here. Forever is not Classic, and it is also not retail. There will be change and there should be changes otherwise its not plus anymore.

Remember they beat the Classic Andes and now own retail. What are you gonna do to stop them in Wow Forever? I can't wait to see WOW Conflict - Retail Versus Classic. Have both ideologies battle it out in game :)

For me (and I have mainly played Classic Era WoW for significant time since it launched), WoW:F is Dead On Arrival.  Blue Smurf Elves?  The Layering Tech?  Cris-Cross Race/Class changes?  This is not Classic, and I fear it is only downhill from here.  So, I will stick with Era for all the reasons outlined in the video as to why Era is still here, and popular.

For those hoping for a real Classic Forever experience I wish you luck and I hope you have a good time.  While it lasts.

I have only been playing in private servers till Lich King.I've been a huge fan of lore and wanted to "live" it.I've done quests, lvled up,went to dungs, went to a guild, fought Arthas etc.The most exciting thing out of every hour I've spent in this game was the beggining. The first warrior I had that I would try to tank in a dung even though I was 2H cause main tank left and it would take hours to find another. The struggle to find the best path to attack Hoger without aggroing nearby  mobs, only to run for my life from an angry mob, only to go to the other side of the river to find a wolf with a skull rating waiting for my ne hunter with a randomized name I kept cause in my language it meant fork-man and found it funny. The wtf panic momment when that pirate tauren in Deadmines stunned everyone.

And this game "ruined" every other similar game for me.I loved the part that aggroing 2 thrash mobs when lvling had you to specificaly play a rotation,a plan to get away,a potion ready to save your life or at least give you a better chance.I tried other games, where you need to go to late game content to even have to struggle somewhere, where at lvl 10 they give you a fortune ,while in vanilla I had to struggle to buy me 1st mount. In old WOW everything was a small achievement, not a hack and slash game.

That Trollbane jumpscare nearly got me.

So many failed opportunities for good story progression, so many obviously poor decisions.  We need war, we need conflict. If they want peace, introduce a time skip, stop increasing the stakes to a rediculous degree.

Sack the entire character-building team, their decision-making for characters old and new have been disastrous.

i am 100% a tourist, but i understand that.
i may have ideas or opinions, but i also know when to shut up and just enjoy something that isn't tainted by some modern bullshit...

The gate keeping will continue until the last retail tourist goes back to play their game and leave us alone.

I quit when panderia  came out. git tired of leveling every 5mins to where it meant nothing. the world below level 80-90 were invisible and all anyone cared about was raiding for gear rolls. the game became soulless

This video was so essential. We just need to work together with that team to fend them off. And it's gonna be tough. We're gonna be drafted to a digital war that might last decades. But if we give an inch, this will devolve into slop so fast it'll be horrifying.

Retail player here, I'm coming for you

As someone who is playing WoW since... Warcraft 2? I am very excited for Forever, all the new things to explore in a classic-feel is very good, and makes it special compared to Retail! I hope both versions will run well, tho! And borrow ideas, if they fit into their pillars of contract!

Thing is though don't underestimate the power of this new team not to screw forever up in time it will happen.

Retail players are simply worth more. The new business model isn't just popular because retail players are loud. It's because the game is now a storefront for the extremely lucrative cosmetics business.

The Classic+ community has been theorycrafting (even through private servers) this version of the game for over a decade. Retail opinions don't matter here, their opinions led to what retail is today after all. They have their game, this one is ours. I do think they might be trying to infect it on purpose, so we are going to have to gatekeep the shit out of this game for as long as possible.

I agree, but the classic Andy who has ONLY played Warcraft their entire life can make the game boring in the long run too. Some of them don't even understand what horizontal content is. We definitely need old-school MMO gamers and new voices like yourself. I think classic players need to preserve the TONE and spirit of the game, but we also need NEW old-school ideas.

We're doomed either way if the devs keep looking inside their own bubble instead of seeking inspiration from outside it. Btw, we already have some dogshit writing in Classic Era, where they started reworking old quests from the original game.

The retail players cried for convenience so much that it killed the game, it wasn't realized until shadowlands expansion
by actual gamers it wasn't realized until legion expansion

The fact that the Forever Devs allowed the creation of the Skyborne does not bode well for the classic player base.
