This Hokkaido drive (in-car video) takes us to the Nijukken Road cherry blossom avenue in Shinhidaka Town, Hidaka region. We drove along this road, said to be the best cherry blossom avenue in Japan, during the peak of the cherry blossom festival, while exploring its Meiji-era roots as an imperial ranch. Surrounded by racehorse farms, the approximately 7km-long straight avenue of cherry trees is breathtaking and magnificent.
