This video just blew me away. To see the work space you used in 2017 - sure has changed from then to now in late 2021. Your videos bring so much peace to my life - I think of all the channels - your videos truly show how one can improve their skills by just continuing to do what they enjoy. So thankful that you have chosen to share your work.

The sliding dovetail is usually cross grain joint.

Ah! Those old days…

Love the music. I kept waiting for 70's L.A. Detective in a plaid sports jacket to stroll into the workshop...

The "hey wake up" thing really freaked me out at first. I thought my cat was talking to me 😹

Wonderful work.   After viewing about 20 of your more current videos, it is interesting to see this older one, and see how all your tools and shop have evolved.   This video is good, and your newer ones are better.   I’m working my way through all your videos...thanks

Я из 2024 года. Уровень работ хорош! Уровень оборудования и инструментов вырос значительно!

I'm already awake!

Damn that took forever.  Nice tools tho.

Yo! Stave, Glad to see you showing ( even timelapse) that it takes alil time cutting irons by hand w a hacksaw....  I know when I was a kid I'd get just as excited then as i do Now ...
UNTIL,  I started cutting steel w a hacksaw...and literally said " Oh Hell No...F this..takes too damn long!". I guess I just assumed it would be easy...Its Far From It.
But, glad I got older cause I enjoy the hell outa this stuff. As w me back then, I think when new guys get to cutting steel by hand they all of a sudden dont have interest in it no more....its a shame Really... maybe just me being older, but this is awsome therapy w a dash of pride knowing the skill set doing woodwork. As this.
Tell em to just SLOW The F DOWN....enjoy being creative and producing something this world doesnt see very much now days.... Hand Made Tools that will Out Last All of us and the unknown number of people who if even for a sec on a look only, will get great enjoyment from the tool or what it helped create

This was surreal.

Dear Stavros, if you are struggling with a choice of music then my humble opinion is don’t bother. Just keep the microphone on in your workshop to capture your machining sounds. That’s all the sound you need (my opinion).

The circular rasp you used in the drill press looks a fantastic tool. It could cut lots of material but keep a sharp edge for ages, unlike sand paper and bobbin head sanders. Where did you get it from and what is it called?

The vertical pin you placed before the blade: what is it’s purpose? My guess is that it is a wear plate to reduce wear-out on the leading wood part of the planes. Thanks.

Nice job. Please wath materiel you use for lime with red color

Удовольствие получаю ,как будто смотрю интересный детектив

Very nice planes and they are so functional.

Great video! Great tools!

They're a really nice set of planes.

most impressing think is that you used simple hand tools to make such wonderful tools rather than using sofisticated modern mechinary tools which is not accessible to common people. Thanks a lot for sharing it...

Great video . Music drove me mad so i muted it.

This is most excellent, it explains a lot tp me
