Shoutout to the american donuts, pls keep the ship afloat over there

Things in British stores aren’t ’tax free’, the tax is just already included in the price.

As an American, these are sadly NOT the dumbest things I have heard Amercans say.

Cam, I'm an American and Americans scare me too. I live about 20 min south of the Canadian border. We were trying to go to Canada and the car in front of us declared a couple of rifles and some handguns. They were telling (yelling mostly) the border guards saying, "WE ARE AMERICANS. WE HAVE OUR 2nd Amendment rights(the right to keep and bear arms.) The Canadian border guards(CBG) spent about 30 mins telling them Canada is a country. Canada is a sovereign nation. You DO NOT have 2nd amendment rights here in CANADA. Finally, the CBG told them if they would not turn the weapons in or they are NOT getting into a nation.  The US couple pulled away and tried to do a U-turn, the US border Guards came running out with their AR-15s pointing at the car. I still don't know what the outcome was but I'm assuming they are banned from Canada.

We don't have running water like the USA,  ours is drinkable and hardly ever goes on fire.

15:25 - useless fun fact: the first ceramic flush toilet was created by Thomas Twyford, a British pottery manufacturer. This toilet used the flush out siphon design, invented by J. G. Jennings, an English plumber and sanitary engineer. However, the concept of the flushable toilet was from Sir John Harrington, the godson of Queen Elizabeth I in 1596. On top of all of this, the first patent for the more modern flush toilet was by Alexander Cummings, a Scottish instrument inventor. None of these people, funnily enough, are American. In fact, the beginning of the modern day toilet is older than The United States.

What confuses me is how they can calculate tax and tips with every purchase yet still not mange to read a 24 HR clock

Ironically, it was a school shooting in Scotland that caused the UK to have strict gun control and regulations.

People in America did protest the implementation of seatbelt regulation, it actually happened.

Not only do we have running water, we are free to judge for ourselves when it is safe to cross a road.

Yes, we in the UK have running water just like the USA.  The difference is, you can actually drink ours.

10:22 What blows my mind is that Americans still don't understand tariffs. When the cheeto king puts tariffs on goods from other countries he isn't charging other countries, neither is the money going to other countries. The tariffs are paid by Americans to the American government.

Read that Scotland did what we did in Australia. They had a shooting, banned the guns. I cant imagine having to think about being unsafe at school constantly

As an American I am ashamed of my fellow countrymen lack of knowledge about the rest of the world.

If we had stricter gun laws we wouldn’t need police in schools.

Brilliant. I recently hosted Americans  from the sunshine  state, they struggled the most with our culture with regards to taking the piss. They found it offensive.  Taking the piss out of your mates is a sign of endearment. They  didn't get it at all.

I’m chronically ill young adult in Ireland and worked in a shop and usually sat when I worked the till but I stood up when I needed to (to greet people, help customers, gift wrap etc) and nobody ever batted an eye that I sat down when I could. As long as I did my job and was kind to everyone literally nobody cared whether I sat or stood. Needing to sit down doesn’t make you lazy 😅 especially when you’re battling an invisible disability!

Our last school shooting was Dumblane in 1996. Following that we banned handguns and tightened regulations.

The time thing in medical settings its mandatory you use 24 hour clock. Reduces medication errors and regular observations testing, lab diagnostics etc.  2pm and 2am can easily be misread in a hurry. 1400 and 0200 is more clear.  Its literally mandatory in formal medical notes.

I’m Australian and I’ve been to the USA - I thought it was a third world country wearing a first world façade.
