WWE needs to go back to signature moves (and even regular, high-impact moves) winning the match. It’s too predictable now! It took Undertaker 3 Tombstones to pin Kane at Wrestlemania 14. That was unheard of at the time because Kane was such a monster! Now, these Wrestlemania main events require 4 or 5 finishers from either opponent. Even small-time PPVs might have a triple finisher, and commentary acts like it’s no big feat. WWE needs to rein it in!

2:08 well, actually (smart bookers) actually have a wrestler win some matches with signature moves. For example, there are a handful of times Batista won matches using the spinebuster alone. Seth has gone back to the curb stomp but bcz he us3d the pedigree for a while and won matches with it,you will see him hit one every now and then. Like Taker, Kane, Did Vicious winning a number of matches with th3 chokeslam alone. Sting winning matches with the sharp shooter. Kenny Omega winning matches with the V trigger. Christian winning matches with the spear, Goldberg, as well. Eddie winning some matches with the three amigos. Booker T winning numerous matches with the Book End. Big Show winning numerous matches with either K.O. punch or spear. Finn Balor won matches without the coup de gras. And more and there is a brilliant genre of professional wrestling called "King's Road" style. If you're working a feud with another wrestler. If you or the other wrestler wins with their finisher, the next time they wrestle, either the wrestler that got beaten has absorbed a resilience to the finisher &/or knows how to read the other guy setting up for it so it looks like the wrestler that was defeated actually went back, studied tape of the match, learned his errors, learned his opp's tells and set ups and signature moves and finisher. So it will be twice as hard to beat the guy that was defeated before.  And if the wrestler that one the first match either has to learn on the fly, how to hit the finisher in an unorthodox way that he hadn't done before or beat the opp with a different move they weren't expecting. And if the guy that won the first match, wins the second match?!...smh, the finisher will be damn near useless to try by the 3rd showdown 😂.  But I get what you're saying bcz WWE seldom, if ever, books those instances in a meaningful way other than to show the guy taking the move is getting weaker . Example: you hit the signature move and pin them, they kick at one. Do it again later and they pop out at 2. Try again later and they almost don't kick out in time. And going through the  pin and having to use strength and energy every time you kick out, leaving you on the mat and often having to fight your way back up, and [if you're  a face] ultimately kinda "HULKING OUT] and starting your comeback during the match. Which..I guess qnd helps tell a story in the match, to a degree but its become so cheapened that its more senseless than informative to us the viewers. Like, "Why tf would you try to beat dude with that move?! He is not a jobber and you know that, so you know its a waste of time to hit that move and pin dude. Tf are you thinking, gang?!"😂😂😂
