The mayor of Córdoba and the provincial security minister held a press conference to detail the scope of the new agreement signed between their administrations. The measure aims to guarantee the normal flow of vehicular and pedestrian traffic during large-scale mass events, following a series of recent disruptions caused by unforeseen labor actions by municipal traffic personnel. Authorities emphasized that the agreement provides the necessary legal framework for the police force to actively collaborate in maintaining order on public roads during exceptional situations and extraordinary events.
During the presentation, special emphasis was placed on the magnitude of the events scheduled for the coming weeks, reiterating the importance of maintaining well-functioning institutional prevention and response mechanisms. They also reflected on the need to prioritize the well-being of the community and the peace of mind of residents in the face of any circumstance that could disrupt social peace or essential services. Officials stressed that the joint effort aims to safeguard the normal course of daily life in the various neighborhoods of the city of Córdoba.
The planned logistics also include the coordination of special operations for dates of high cultural and religious significance, drawing on recent international experiences. The deployment of thousands of provincial and federal personnel was detailed to cover the various gathering points and planned routes, ensuring that emergency and assistance services remain fully operational to support residents and visitors at all times.
