Amazon: produces complete garbage live adaptation of Yakuza 1
SEGA: Fine, I'll do it myself

I love that Nishiki's actor is the same one who voices him in the game, 100 times better than the Amazon series

The only franchise where they can make 6 adaptations of the same plot and I'll still eat it up

@catzzara 6 months ago

did they seriously just drop 3 episodes of a live action on a random friday at 10am

I don't know why the Amazon adaptation had to be so serious. This is what I wanted as a fan.

Kiryu's combat style aura shows*
Me: This is some serious gourmet shit.

@KublaMonster 6 months ago

this is hilarious. you can visibly see this man change stances and the aura change color.

Bro I don’t even care that Kiryu’s walking in front of green screens, this is way better than the Amazon one

LMAOOO THE STYLE SWITCHING MID FIGHT I LOVE THIS

The quality shifts between set stages and splicing in backgrounds from the game purely for accuracy's sake, even if its not the best looking, are just the right amount of fan-servicey cheese that I love. I'm excited to see the rest!

Can't believe Nishikiyama is being played by the Ten Years in the Joint guy.. Crazy casting.

the best adaptation I ever seen, capturing the games likeness and goofiness like the usage of having background from the games while maintaining focus of the story from the game, I hope to see an adaptation of Kiwami 2 of this
