We were begging for more Zappa! Thank you, Doug! The Grand Wazoo album is outstanding!

One of the best Frank Zappa albums for sure

Fantastic Zappa album. George Duke on keys cannot be beat. Aynsley Dunbar was my favorite drummer that Frank ever worked with, and that is quite a list to be at the top of! It should always be a Zappa Wednesday. Love it! Great reaction!❤ Recommend Sleep Dirt album released in 1979 (beware the CD version with added vocals).✌️

Originally it was to be called "eat that christian"... a reference to the Romans throwing christians to the lions, hence the 'gladiator' horns at the end. Cleetus, Awreetus, Awrightus was the emperor. There's a story behind it.

The whole album is great. Blessed Relief is one of my all time favorites.

This whole album was recorded along with Waka Jawaka in mid '72 with FZ in a wheelchair recovering from getting thrown off stage on Dec 10 '71.
While this was relsased as a Mother Of Invention album the only Mother on here is Frank.
Several years removed from the actual Mothers (the 60s line up).

Just discovered Zappa today. Great... thanks.

The Grand Wazoo is a story & must be enjoyed whole. Whilst most tracks are brilliant standalone, the sheer genius of Zappa & his players becomes clear with each song in context of those around it.

Some of the best drumming ever by Mr. Dunbar. The Waka Jawaka drum solo part as well.

My favorite Zappa album of all time!

The live version on 'Make a Jazz Noise Here' with prominent horn section is also great.

The whole album is jawdropping. One of Frank's more consistent in style.
