Chicago, overall, is hands down the best big city in the US. Been here 15 years. There are a couple pretty big downsides, all related to the terrible segregation. Most of the neighborhoods are really nice. The ones that aren’t, really aren’t. It’s also a very safe city, especially for its size. Winters are long, but there’s lots to do. Summer is completely amazing. Fests everywhere.

Chicagoans is our moniker indeed 😂. No city like Chicago. It’s wonderful here. Great content.

I love Chicago, and honestly, people who don't live here think it's much more expensive than it actually is. I came to Chicago without knowing anyone or having a place to live with about $3500. I had a job lined up and that was it, and it wasn't a high-paying job. I made $15 an hour and I survived. If I can do it, you can too.

I went to Chicago for a 3 day break after visiting Boston and NYC. Chicago is the BEST city in the states. So good that I returned 10 months later for another holiday in December for a week. Saw the bears, bulls, hawks, visited Cubs and it feels like a cool village downtown but with the most beautiful architecture in the country. Went out to the burbs n saw the real Chicago n it was movie perfect. There are a few crazy’s in the loop after dark so I’d recommend the mag mile if you’re nervous, the jewel in chi towns crown has to be wildberry pancakes for breakfast. Worth another trip from uk for that alone!

Planning to move to Chicago in about 1.5 years, hope it works out well. I am a big fan of cold weather, don't want to drive, and it seems way more affordable than NYC

For me it’s the most affordable big city when compared to NYC and LA.

I think her POV was on point. I’m from Chicago, moved to Houston in 2019 and I’m over it. Moving back to sweet home CHICAGO!

The city is awesome. However I dislike the cold weather. Unfortunately it’s highly segregated. I live in a diverse community. Further,I no longer need a car due to the walk ability. I live on the lakefront in Hyde Park. One of the best areas to live. I have lived in Chicago all my life. Never experienced crime, no theft, no break in, nothing.
Yes, there is crime yet I have been smart in how I navigate this city or any other city.

One may need a car if they wanna go to several places in a day...Chicago does have car sharing services..(Zip Car is only one of them) you pay a service fee to use a car for a few hours to run errands.....The Service fee covers maintenance, insurance, When you first get the car each day it has a full tank of Gas..when you return it you have to refill the Gas tank.

I moved to CHI from NYC a year ago this month. The transit here is good, but I feel like I need a car in Chicago. I never felt like that in NYC and really didn't need one there. The buses are safer in Chicago than the trains but less reliable and often delayed. It's quite frustrating. I live in Uptown and love the area.

I live not too far from Uchicago, and love it.:)  safe, great restraunts and stores.
I primarily use my car, but use metra at times.

Loved your video ; I'm a native californian and I know some people from Chicago.. Los Angeles has some of the same transportation pros and cons

I like to visit Chicago for street photography.  I live in downstate Illinois and it is awesome to have the Chicago experience.  Chicago has friendly people, art, architecture,  ChinaTown, Lake Michigan, and nice restaurants.  The list goes on.

Don't forget the Bud Biliken Day parade on the South side late every summer.

These are the benefits about the city. Especially transportation.  Gorgeous hair and hair color.

Transpo system is very good

I’m from NJ, 15 minutes away from NYC driving distance and honestly I notice so many similarities between Chicago and NY!

I think your smile might be my new favorite thing. It’s just so… contagious!

Once I move from Honolulu to chicago and I like it better

5:35 "the trains smell like pee" True, but it is worse in LA. To find clean and frequent and safe and cheap public transportation, see Mexico City.
