I've been having trouble with a sticking clutch, so I decided to open the clutch cover. It didn't really seem necessary, but I wanted to take a look inside, so I did. I wasn't sure if it fixed the problem, so I compared it with the ZX-11 (ZZR1100), also a Kawasaki.

湿式クラッチはエンジンオイルに浸かってますからね。
硬いオイルを入れていると、真冬の朝方なんかしっかりオイルを温めてやらないと、1速に入れた途端にエンストすることもあります。
エンジンオイルが温まるまで暖気して、再チャレンジしてみて下さい。
どうしても空転が止まらない場合は、クラッチプレートの歪みが疑われます。
