Wondering what size bolts and rivnuts/plusnuts to buy for your van conversion? Here’s a quick video of the various hole sizes in the 2021 Ford transit medium roof cargo van.
Threaded Rear cargo door area, and above the wheel wells: M10 x 1.5
Threaded holes in upper side walls: M8 x 1.25
Non-threaded holes in walls: the large majority will fit M6 rivnut perfectly. I tried 1/4x20 prebulbed cross nuts and they were way too big to fit without being hammered in (which is not recommended).
The ceiling was a mixed bag. 1/4x20 previlbed plus nuts worked in two of the holes. The rest were random sizes that wouldn’t fit any rivnuts so I drilled them out to fit an m6 and coated with rustoleum.
Did I miss any holes? Let me know in the comments.

Thank you for sharing your research! Makes things so much easier for me to keep this build moving along without having to figure what rivnut to use.
