Would be really cool to see more worship leaders who actually worship. It’s not a concert. There’s so many “I” songs. Wish there was more hymns coming back around instead of a song that has 5+ guitars, backing etc. The biggest thing, imo for people being paid, would they still worship the same for free? And then hiring musicians just to play that don’t even believe or aren’t a part of that church.

Good call out Jimmy! Always best to bring up the next generation.  Its not just worship ministry. That's one of my primary goals in ministry, train and disciple your replacement. I have been blessed to lead both youth ministry and worship team. I was moved to leading the sound/production team this year. I had to start from scratch. Build a team and train a few replacements. Definitely I new challenge, but same concept ive always use in every ministry.  Also, im part of that older gen x / millennial demographic. We need to start moving into a role of mentors. I personally don't need to be in the spotlight anymore.

Where is new covenant teaching in this?
