What actually makes something luxury?
Is it the price? The brand name? The materials and craftsmanship? Exclusivity? Or should we expect a luxury product to be significantly better made than something that costs a fraction of the price?

In this second part of my luxury series, we're going back to the basics and defining what we actually mean when we call something a luxury good. While luxury can certainly mean things like time, freedom, comfort, and financial security, this video is specifically about the material side of luxury: designer clothing, handbags, shoes, and other expensive goods.
Using TikTok creators and a closer look at luxury brands, including Chanel...and dare I say...COACH?!... we're going to explore the relationship between luxury, quality, and expense—and whether a high price automatically means you're getting a luxury product.

Because if something is expensive but the quality doesn't live up to the price…is it really luxury, or is it simply expensive?

This is Part II of this section in my continuing series exploring luxury, designer goods, shopping psychology, and what we're really paying for when we buy expensive things.
