Keith Deller has labelled Luke Littler the biggest global star the sport has seen and has claimed nobody has done more for the sport than the World No.1.

The former World Champion also warned against top players withdrawing from TV tournaments, insisting they have a responsibility to grow the sport globally even if it's at the expense of exhibitions.

Deller also revealed his anguished for mockery of his 138 checkout that famously clinched him the World Championship against Eric Bristow.

Keith Deller was speaking exclusively with Oche180.

If players miss tournaments , it can bite them back , especially if defending huge ranking points. So if they miss a tournament other players will fill the gap and overtake them. So it’s far too simplistic to have a pop. The only player who’s safe is Littler because he’s so far ahead of everybody else it’s ridiculous. But even he still has to defend his position. Players at the very top miss the odd minor tournament to manage their calendar.

Deller is correct in his recent interview, saying that current players should offer their hand, for originally breaking away and making darts what it is today.
It was a huge risk, and those players provided what money they had to help form the PDC.
It only did, because of those personalities.

So players should prioritise PDC over exhibitions?

Coming from the man who pimped Adrian Lewis to every exhibition and cruise going. I mean I like Keith but come on.

May the 2 Lukes keep winning, if you can't beat them keep trying or pack up and get a job. So boring interviewers asking the same questions, the one i hate most is can Littler beat Phil Taylor's record ? 😴
