No one realized his suffering.. Until he tremblingly took food from us
Follow the comprehensive 84-day recovery journey of Hanai, a 2-year-old male cat rescued while wandering the streets, exhausted and suffering from an acute metabolic disorder. Documented medical issues included systemic dehydration, dental caries and generalized periodontitis on the right side of the jaw, delayed gastric emptying with fluid retention (detected via ultrasound), and cachexia, alongside an intensive, prolonged course of antibiotic and antiviral therapy (reaching a critical milestone on day 56). This educational documentary details the rescue, treatment, and care processes—including gentle fluid therapy, ultrasound assessment of gastric motility, the use of a high-moisture recovery diet, and medication dosage adjustments based on weekly weight gain—as well as the neurobehavioral aspects of overcoming a "freeze" state (based on Polyvagal Theory) through dedicated care in a foster home. The content strictly adheres to EDSA standards for ethical storytelling.
