Thank God we had Kevin Peter Hall instead of Van Damme...as the Predator

To me what is THE most criminal is Kevin Peter Hall's passing at 35.

The 80s has to be pinnacle of movie making. The amount of classics out of that decade is just mind boggling.

I have watched this movie, not exaggerating, somewhere between 40-50 times.

The alien's clicking noises weren't made by dolphins. They were made by Peter Cullen himself. He came up with it on his own when first did it in a studio sound booth after seeing what the revamped Predator looked like and how he thought it would sound. The directors instantly loved it.

I went to this movie without knowing anything about it. In the beginning II thought there was going to be a battle between different human factions. I thought someone was watching Arnie's team with night goggles. The suspense kept building, and I was floored when I saw the invisible alien. It was one of the best movie experiences for me. Now it's impossible to watch anything without a trailer thrown at your face spoiling half the movie.

Watched as a kid & loved it. Watched as an adult & caught the well written character development I missed as a kid.

The fact that Van Dam called it stupid is a flat jock. An Alien spin kicking would have been a laugh fest. Thanks for leaving this one Van Dam.

“If it bleeds we can kill it” is the best line of the film.

The story is one of the best action films ever, just an alien coming to earth for a hunt truly makes that movie for me, the idea was fantastic.
