Warrior leveling in WoW Forever may end up looking completely different from Classic.

After testing Protection from 1–30 and spending a lot of time theorycrafting Fury, I think there may be a leveling path that solves Warrior’s biggest weakness: downtime.

The basic idea is simple.

Warrior is extremely good at killing things as long as it has health. Rage rewards you for staying in combat, your damage is strong with a good weapon, and unlike mana classes, you don’t naturally need to stop and drink.

The problem has always been taking damage.

In WoW Forever, we now have several different ways to recover health while continuing to kill mobs:

• Thrill of the Adventure
• Victory Rush
• Blood Craze
• Bloodrage
• Goredrinker
• Bloodthirst
• Spirit / HP5
• Berserker Rage
• Death Wish

If these systems stack the way I think they do, Fury Warrior may be able to chain pull mobs without constantly stopping to eat.

I start the video by looking at what we already know.

Protection feels extremely good from 1–30. Shield Specialization, Revenge, normalized rage, fast weapons and the additional mitigation from a shield make Prot incredibly smooth early.

But Fury starts getting very interesting after level 20.

Normalized rage makes the offhand much more useful than it was in Classic, Furious Precision improves offhand hit chance, Dual Wield Specialization improves the value of those attacks even further, and Fury already kills mobs extremely quickly.

Then we solve the health problem.

Thrill of the Adventure can return 5% maximum health after every kill.

Victory Rush gives another 10%.

Blood Craze gives health when you’re crit.

Goredrinker gives additional healing when you become enraged.

Eventually Bloodthirst adds even more sustain.

Combine all of that with a little Spirit and the possibility of Fury killing a mob every 10–15 seconds, and I think we might have a Warrior that almost never needs to stop.

My current leveling plan is roughly:

Prot / Sword & Board early
→ Respec Fury around level 20
→ Build into offhand hit and rage generation
→ Add Blood Craze
→ Dual Wield Specialization
→ Death Wish
→ Enrage
→ Goredrinker
→ Bloodthirst

This is THEORYCRAFTING.

I have not fully tested the entire 1–60 route yet, and Blizzard is still changing things during beta. I’m going to level this way and test it as soon as I can.

I also go over how I think you can get enough Legacy points early to unlock Thrill of the Adventure, including professions, dungeons, PvP and character progression.

Let me know what you’re planning to level:
