DIY: What if a candle could burn indefinitely and still be safe?
In this video, I build a simple “forever candle” using carbon felt as a wick, a a piece of copper pipe as the holder, and common vegetable oil as the fuel. Once lit, it continues burning as long as oil is added, without dangerous flare-ups or unstable fuel. Just the small amount of oil used for the demonstration in the video burnt for over 4 hours.

This design is practical, easy to build, and ideal for emergency lighting, power outages, workshops, or off-grid use.
