The second trailer for the Harry Potter series has been released! We're taking a scene-by-scene look at the new trailer from HBO's adaptation of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, discussing details you might miss and connections to the books.

The new trailer shows Hogwarts in its most detailed form yet. From Harry, Ron, and Hermione's first days at Hogwarts to the Sorting Hat ceremony; from Quidditch scenes to Herbology class, from the Invisibility Cloak to the troll attack, many important moments from the Sorcerer's Stone are shown for the first time.

Also, how do Dominic McLaughlin's Harry Potter, Arabella Stanton's Hermione Granger, and Alastair Stout's Ron Weasley look? How will Paapa Essiedu's portrayal of Severus Snape be? What do John Lithgow's Dumbledore and Janet McTeer's McGonagall show us? How different is the new Hogwarts design from the films?

We're examining the book details, changes, characters, locations, and potential clues in the trailer one by one.

What did you think of the second trailer for the new Harry Potter series? Which scene did you like the most?
