Chris Cuomo confronts conservative radio host Jason Rants in a fiery clash after Texas State Representative Angela Paxton released a stunning endorsement of her estranged husband, Attorney General Ken Paxton. Despite Paxton facing impeachment for bribery, corruption, and serial infidelity, his soon-to-be ex-wife told Republican voters to overlook his personal failings and vote purely for the seat. When Rants concedes on live television that Paxton is personally a "scumbag" but still preferable to Democratic challenger James Talarico, the entire moral foundation of conservative politics unravels.

Cuomo systematically corners his conservative guest on the death of the GOP's long-standing "character counts" doctrine. While right-wing media routinely weaponizes religion and social issues against political opponents, Cuomo forces Rants to answer why those same Christian standards vanish when evaluating Donald Trump and Ken Paxton.
