None of the apostles ever had their followers bow down to them. We (those who turn to Christ and repented from their sins) are one in Christ. No Christian should bow down to another person. Jesus said, "You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only shall you serve" (Matthew 4:10).

When Cornelius bowed before Peter, Peter immediately told him, "Stand up; I too am a man" (Acts 10:25–26). Peter did not accept worship or special honor that belongs to God.
If you're going to say, "But David," remember that David was a king living under the Old Covenant. He was not part of the New Testament church (Body of Christ)

Jesus performed many miracles, but throughout the Gospels, He wanted people to listen to His teaching and understand His mission. In John 6, after Jesus fed the five thousand with bread and fish, the crowd went looking for Him the next day. They were hoping He would continue feeding them, much like God provided manna through Moses in the wilderness.

Jesus rebuked them and said "You are seeking Me, not because you saw the signs, but because you ate your fill of the loaves. Do not work for the food that perishes, but for the food that endures to eternal life..." (John 6:26–27)

When they asked what work God required of them, Jesus answered "This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He has sent" (John 6:29).

The crowd then asked for another sign, but Jesus continued teaching them that He is the true Bread of Life. He wanted them to understand that their greatest need was not physical bread but eternal life that only He can give.

Jesus came to save souls and reveal God's Kingdom. His miracles were to fulfill the prophecies that pointed people to who He is, but His priority was always that people would know God, believe in Him, and receive eternal life. He did not prioritize physical healing or earthly needs over the truth of His teaching.
