What do you think of Mitsuri?

Ever since I found out she was trained by Rengoku, I’ve been mad that we didn’t get to see how she felt after his death. We always see how Tanjiro was affected, but they never go into Mitsuri’s relationship with Rengoku which is such a missed opportunity.

I like how people are saying Mitsuri is weak because upper 4 clone almost killed her, but if the clone was the main body then it would have probably already been killed by Mitsuri.

To give her credit. She had to fight all night up until sunrise. Sure, she may not have taken out the main body and could have died. But her enhaced stamina shows a lot during the fight.

I always noticed, the manga had so much more, it explained and included more on her personality and what happened outside of the series

Mitsuri is my favorite hashira. I like how this shows exactly why she stands out but also how little to work with she's been given compared to the others

Matsuri is such a good character I could cry. So relatable. She is basically a bubbly female rengoku. I wish their relationship was explored more

I never noticed this before, but you’re absolutely correct. On the surface she’s primed to be one of the most interesting characters in the series, but they never go any further than the surface.  It would be interesting to peek inside the creator’s notebook to see if there’s anything in there about her. 🤔

ive not only noticed this in Demon slayer but other animes, when a theres a female character thats strong/powerful their looks and assets are the main focus instead. Because they also seen to have seductive personality

And how she doesn’t like her uniform, she was to nice too ask for a new one which is a huge contrast to shinobu who burned it in the kakashis face

Making her fanservice destroyed her entire character of not meeting female beauty standards

Damn. I simultaneously like her more and also am more frustrated by how she's been treated 😂

honestly mitsuri is so relatable especially with wanting to fit in with others and joining the demon slayers to get a husband, those men are fine!

i hated how they made her a damsel in distress in the final arc

i love mitsuri a whole ton. she’s my favorite character EVER, and i’ve never loved a character as much as her. you don’t know how much it irritates me to see people looking at her for just being a fan service character, when she is actually SO MUCH MORE. i appreciate you so much for making this video, and giving my girl’s character the recognition she deserves! mitsuri had SO much potential, it’s so sad to see her done this way. i wish we could have seen her development more, i wish we could have seen her shine more, i wish we got more screen time of her. i want to see her character more and more. justice for mitsuri :( i actually love her so much bro, like it’s beyond words 😭🫶

I totally agree about the rengoku thing. I have the corps records book and I read the manga, so I knew from the start that Kyojuro trained Mitsuri. AND from how he was made to have an impact on Season 2, I was honestly rooting for Season 3, because that was where I expected Mitsuri's connection to him to be put into showcase. But somehow, he was shown as an impactful person for Tanjiro and Muichiro, and yet not his own tsuguko. And most people skip the end credits too, even AFTER the last episode. I understand they wanted to shed light on their deceased hashira before the finale, but to exclude him from his own tsuguko's story is too much, even if the infinity castle arc may have shown parts of it too

Great video, you’re right they could’ve highlighted the fact that she had such a loving family and that’s how she herself can give so much, not only that but she could be the reason the others work so well together, almost like the glue that binds them

She’s one of my favorite hashiras and I knew they had always missed an opportunity with her, but you really cleared it up and yes it really does suck I really do hope they add some stuff in the movies for her as they did that in the hashira training arc but for others

I’m an anime only watcher and I heard a lot of people “thought she would only be a fanservice character but it actually a super deep character” and then I saw her in the anime and was confused and what everyone was talking about lol. It’s a shame

I don't think Mitsuri's goal of wanting a husband is lame at all. In an ordinary setting, wanting a partner is one of the most common goals people have. What's impressive is that Mitsuri became a Hashira to find a husband. The Hashira part was just a side quest for her. XD
