In this particular video I have a couple of thoughts, along with recommendations. 1) where a pair of nitrile gloves while dealing with sticky, gooey, gummy chain and sprocket lube parts, 2) while you did wipe the outer link plates down, there is plenty more on the inner pins etc that can be removed before riding in order to mitigate excessive chain lube being flung all over the wheel, tire, bodywork and swing arm. Once riding and the chain warms up all of that lube will come off eventually onto all of the parts and areas I mention. And lastly, in this particular case the chain is too taunt/ tight and does not account for suspension travel, and rider seated, therefore premature wear on the chain pins and the sprocket teeth will ensue. 1" to 1"1/8 chain slack mid swingarm area will be spot on once rider is aboard, along with suspension travel.

So the old front sprocket was 3 times the width of the new one. Luckily I ordered the same sprocket kit and then found this video. I couldn't get my caliper or micrometer to the center of the gear to get an accurate measurement of center which seemed close. The edges were way bigger though. Assuming for strength and balancing. I tried taking a screen shot and it looks close to what came off my 18. It never shows that gear off. Is it ok having such a smaller/thinner gear? Also, I used squeeze clamps to hold the brake if that helps anyone doing theirs alone.  Thank you for the torque specs!  My 2000 GSXR had the clips for the master link so this video helped. Never did this type of link. Thanks again.

Are you able to view the rod, on the chain alignment tool, against the inner chain while the chain guard is mounted, or should chain guard be dismounted? I have a GSX-R750.
