2 rounds in and i absolutely love how Donaire is attacking the body. Seiya isn't the most skilled but i will always keep up with his young career. I remember first seeing him when he fought Anaguchi. Such a great, fun fight with a tragic endind. It really reminded me of Ippo and seeing how much the Japanese title means for these young fighters.
I'd love to see Ioka fight Donaire. Two future hall of fame fighters in the end of the career
Edit: now that they are all at 118 I'd love to see Ioka or Donaire fight eachother, Cuadras, Estrada, or Chocolatito
Anyone who says the fight was close, or even that Donaire won, should get their eyes checked. Donaire fought brilliantly in the first five rounds and even came close to winning by knockout, but Seiya made an incredible comeback and beat Donaire up for the last seven rounds in a row
Great stuff! Ade talked about this fight and said it reminded him of Kell Brook coming to the states to win his title agianst Porter. Matias, like Porter, is a non-stop pressure fighter. Matias has crazy power with his arm punches. Its not usually one punch power but an accumulation of deceptive power shots. I havent seen Dalton and don't know how he compares to Kell Brook, who was my favorite welterweight at his prime, but Ade said he's also from Sheffield so thats interesting
After Matias popped, I'd rather Smith win but I don't know enough about Smith to know what his chances are. Matias is fun but beatable. I just want to see Matias vs Pitbull Cruz already!
Great fun fight! That 117-111 was way too wide imo. I didnt score it but it seemed like Donaire did enough to win. Seiya closed strong though. Competitive fight between both warriors!
