After an all nighter these legends of the guitar sit down at 9am for a jam. Jimmy, in the end, succumbed to drugs and was sequestered in a mental institution.

A very rare moment in time. This recording and video should be kept very safely. It is treasure and words can not describe how brilliant it is.

Vignola is great with Emmanuel but seeing him play with this guy makes me want to learn from his courses. He seems like a good teacher and seeing him go in like that is amazing. Jimmy is unmatched.

This video is PURE GOLD!! I've watched it many times and it still gives me goosebumps to hear Frank Vignola and Jimmy just jamming away in a NYC hotel room with only a couple of people around. MINDBLOWING!! Thank God for handheld cameras back in the 1990s and thanks for posting it!! :)

You have got to love this video, these two young prodigies bonding over their love of jazz manouche in a cheap NY hotel room. Jimmy was the true recipient of the holy spirit of Django if you ask me (it could only have been a dutch guy imho), but Frank is firing him on so amazingly! If only they could have toured together like this, maybe Vignola might have been able to save his 'brother' from his very unfortunate fate. It might be an unpopular opinion but I don't care what he was on, this how it should be played, as if he stole his bride, the guitar, from the gates of hell, like a real life Tristan.
