It was very nice of him to polish your shoe laces  for you

Gee what comes around… 70 years ago I started polishing shoes with a tooth brush. I have long since discarded the old toothbrush for more modern brushes. I may break out a used toothbrush just for old times sake. I never had anything like a shoeshine stand. My wives (I’ve had a couple) would wear my shoes while I polished them. Started off being sexy and fun. Gradually it became a time for her to read newspaper or play with phone. Now I seldom polish my shoes. They are mostly tennis shoes or sandals.  Oh well, think I will go search for an old toothbrush if I can remember where they are!

To make a decent living shining shoes you would need a steady stream of customers everyday. If he is not a family member he probably has to rent the chair. I'm surprised you didn't get a copyright strike with ABBA and Sinatra playing in the background.

taping the shoe lace ends is diabolical lol

Not removing the laces is a crime

I'm a big fan of shoe shine videos, must've seen thousands over last decade.  But this is the first time I have seen someone use tape AND tape the shoelaces to socks.  mama mia!

I really regret not going to NYC in the 80's with my oldest brother. Union ironworkers we are. He's long since passed away. I stayed in the Bay Area.

All my Dad wore was Floresheim wing tips. I love em 🙏🏻👍🏻

He did it his way! Very nice job.

30 minutes ? C’est un record pour vous !

This was super Fun, Now go get some HOTDOGS !!!!!!!!!!!! BTW Question- Have you ever been so frustrated after a shoe shine that no never tipped the guy or girl?

Great job!!!

A great shine to be sure, meticulous and thorough. But if you're going to devote 30 minutes to a shine, I still think you have the time to remove the laces to do a proper cleaning. But not to take away from the quality of the shoeshiner. He did a very good job.

Nice shine!  The laces should come out but they look nice polished.

Nice color on those shoes.. What are those? ... That gentleman did a fantastic job..

Hot down here in Philly as well!

I got sweaty just watching you walk through that steamy 30 Rock subway station.😂😂😂 but thanks for the video.

When they see camera, maybe they're shining as long as possible for content reasons 😎

Need laces out for sure! Angelo's shoe shine is the real deal.

Shoe laces are suppose to come off
