I love how  kingers the "crazy" one but he's low-key the most well adjusted and stable one there. also the fact that he can actually  manipulate the circus!????? he could be their ticket outta this place...

22:27 I LOVE that Gangle's mask didn't break because that's the real her! It's not her circus avatar or character or mask, that was HER. She wanted the Tommy Gun, she had fun, she was in control! She's human, she can overcome everything the masks do to her.

Kinger is a sharpshooter, a therapist and a good man. All hail Kinger

Oh my god him hesitating and calling her “cartoon… jester” at first before transitioning to “cartoon clown” later when he’s trying to be antagonistic UGHHHHHH peak dialogue writing

Kinger talking about his wife and the fact that she liked bugs then later created a butterfly that can heal makes my heart happy and hurt at the same time

I love parallel of Jax and Gangle in this ep. It's like Jax makes it all about building character and making facade, hide yourself in character, giving up on your identity and Gangle just expressing herself, not character, the human side and not being chained to the mask. It's amazing

I like the hint of Jax saying people who are close to abstracting are unpleasant to be around, meanwhile Jax is falling apart and hiding it and acting so unpleasant to be around

15:35  I like to imagine that Zooble's reflection in Gangle's face is a metaphor for how Zooble was also talking about herself in this scene!  Almost like she sees herself in Gangle

I really like the detail of the Loser Room being dark, which we know calms Kinger down and lets him think straight. It explains why he was able to have that talk with Ragatha, and is just a small detail that really adds a lot in my opinion

I love how the artists use Jax‘s eyes to portray when he is speaking honestly versus when he is using a facade. Switching between the large dilated pupils when he’s acting as ,the funny one‘, and then the tiny square pupils when he’s showing people honest parts of himself. It’s so genius.

27:33 I feel like the line "You don't even know what people are like before they abstract. They are NOT pleasant to be around, like, at all." is foreshadowing something...

2:54The way Kane renders nature—creating an effect reminiscent of a CRT television image—is amazing.

The bit at the end where Jax is having a panic attack, that isnt cartoonish, isnt character like, and is an entirely human thing… just to be IMMEDIATELY interrupted by disappearing guy is very clever. The episode just established how he thinks that since their world is so unserious, that he views any emotion in it as unserious as well. And that there is no point to try to cling onto your realism and humanity. Then when he feels actual emotions, he’s immediately reminded of his own words. Awesome episode, might be my favourite :]

Jax’s monologue was so sad but symbolizes how depression can affect one person so much, especially after Ribbit’s abstraction. Michael deserves an award. KINGER ONCE AGAIN WAS THE GOAT AND BEING THE FATHER FIGURE WE ALL NEED!

Jax: “I’m the funny one”

Kinger popping off iconic one liners like “I’m right behind you, aren’t I”

Edit: holy crap I didn’t expect this many likes lol

Jax couldn't hide his happiness when pomni asked if he wanted to be on her team ❤💙💜

16:57 "im right behind you arent I" goofily weaves into the abyss

I love this character.

I like how the butterfly thing Kinger can do kinda relates to Queenie and Ragatha. Queenie introduced insects to him, since he loved her and symbolically was the "light" of his life in the darkness. Hence why the butterfly is golden, shines in the dark and gives life back, and he said that Ragatha gave him his life back.

Why is no one talking about the "giving someone space should never be the same as giving up on them"? I genuinely loved that:")
